Thanks to everyone that came to #leedsindieawards on Friday 5 September! It was great to see so many independent businesses supporting each other and celebrating your hard work – whether you’ve been open for 20 years or this is your first year of trading.*
There’s not much we want to say really, as we think the businesses that were voted winners and the photographs speak for themselves. I suppose the main thing to highlight is that all the nominees and winners were voted for by Leeds loving public, and so were obviously hard earned.
We want to extend special thanks to the teams at Logistik, Creative in the Community, The Tetley and Mates Exhibitions for their hard work pulling the event together. As well as Matthew Burton for presenting the awards to a very excited audience! We’d also like to thank Dirk Mischendahl for personally sponsoring the awards, his passion and vision throughout the process and moral support – we couldn’t have done it without you!
The #leedsindieawards 2014 winners are
Best Place to Eat – The Greedy Pig
Best Place to Drink – North Bar
Best Place to Shop – Our Handmade Collective
Best Place to Visit – Kirkgate Market
Best New Business – Pastille Beauty Bar
